Burst of Inspiration...4 New Tracks!

Post by 4xEyes » Mon Jan 14, 2013 5:09 am

Hey everybody! I've been tooling around with the Ol' DS-10, and I think I've finally started to get the hang of it! I have four new track to share. I hope you like them

1. Knuckledragger (instrumental Preview)

Your track work is awesome and definitely shows your getting the hang of it, but you need some more work on drums, not the track work but just the sound, they sound too much like the default drum set.

Knuckledragger is wonderful and needs some harder drum sound to complement your track work.

I also like seagull too.

other than that great work! Keep it up!

agree with drexegar. You could get a lot of mileage just by bringing the snare two octaves down... lower timbre = more punch!

Cool! I would have never thought of that. Just applied it to a track, and along with increasing the drive, the drums sound much more fuller. Thank you!

Des Plaines Bridge reminds me Kraftwerk. Good job.

I like these especially Seagull and Des Plaines Bridge. In fact I wouldn't change the drums sounds on these two tracks, just re-balance them. The cymbals are a little loud compared to the snare and especially the kick drum. I really think the "vintage drum machine sound" benefits the vibe of these songs. It kind of has that CR78 or MRK2 sound and that's a good thing if you ask me...

But yes the first two could have a "punchier" drum sound for sure.
